      That sounds like a competency-based interview question! Depends what you meana by long period of time – I guess the longest one I’ve been involved in is the complete re-invention of simulations at Ferrari. I had to overcome significant resistance initially from people who were invested in the old stuff, and it took a long time to convince people that the new stuff was better. It was a case of trying to point out that the new stuff was much better, whilst not being rude about the old stuff!

      Sounds exactly like turbine blade engineering design! I designed a turbine blade last year that was with a team of people where we had to work together every day. In design, you work incrementally try to improve the design over time. to get the best (we call it robust in design) result possible.

      Agree with Mark that you’ve got a good job interview question there haha!
