Do you like your phone? What about your tv? Pretty much anything man-made has had an engineer put some work into it! Whether it be in its design or through the way it’s made. So engineering benefits the public by making our lives easier and improving everything around us.

Andrei’s answer is great – basically everything useful in the world has had an engineer involved in making it! There’s very little which is more beneficial to the public than engineering.

Medical applications ( mechanical hearts) , bycicles and many more as mentioned before mundane every day tasks to life saving devices are all down to engineering 🙂

This is a brilliant question and it’s exactly why engineering is such an important and interesting job. Engineers keep the lights on in your house, design equipment to save people’s lives and are part of almost every man made thing you see around you 🙂
