  Great question!!!! My favorite book on propulsion is Thermodynamics: An Engineering Approach by Cengel and Boles. It has travelled has travelled half way around the world with me! It was my textbook in my undergraduate thermodynamics class where we learned about power cycles. I like it because not only does it contain all the information an engineer needs to understand these concepts, but it’s also full of really funny cartoons!!
