Very good question! The fun answer is to stay curious and always ask questions about how things work and why they are the way they are.

The boring answer is to work really hard on your maths – engineers use maths to solve problems, so the more maths tricks you know, the more cool problems you can solve!

Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Maths and science can be very difficult and it’s okay if you don’t understand it straightaway. The trick is to learn and re-learn things from different points of view. There’s so much out there to learn and there’s even more out there that we don’t know! Start asking questions about the world around you. You will learn something new or you can discover something that we don’t know anything about – and think of how YOU could solve it! Let your mind get carried away with curiosity!

Try to get involved with engineering opportunities that come up (like asking us lot questions!) and do the best you can at maths and physics at school. Apart from that just keep an open mind because the options are limitless!
