Hi Isla, that’s a really good question 🙂 I did think about becoming a doctor too. And I think the two careers are not dissimilar (in my circle of friends, engineers often marry medical doctors haha!). Doctors are interested in how the human body works just as much as engineers are interested in how things work. I remember thinking really hard about this and I decided that I wasn’t as good as working with the care of people as I was with other things. And I knew that being a doctor was a very stressful job. I recommend that you find some time to do a work experience day with a hospital and visit an engineering office to try to get an idea for what interests you most 🙂 no decision is the wrong one as long as you’re happy with it. Good luck!
